And even if that approach did still work, it\u2019s not going to win you any loyal customers. You\u2019d be gaining short-term profits for long-term bankruptcy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That said, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">there\u2019s a notable downside to this shift away from the \u201chard sell\u201d<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Stay with me&#8230;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It feels like we\u2019re getting a little TOO comfortable with soft-selling, consultative approaches.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Could it be that we\u2019ve become <\/span><b><i>fearful<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> of closing the sale? <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If the sales pitch is <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.genesisdigital.co\/blog\/tools\/webinar-jam\/5-critical-steps-awesomely-successful-webinar-offers\/\"><b>the part of the webinar that most people fear<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, then the call-to-action (CTA), the part where we ask the audience to spend money, is where the fumble is severe.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Adding an \u201cAdd to Cart\u201d button to a sales letter is easy. But, looking into a camera and asking your audience to purchase your Offer requires a level of confidence and preparedness so many feel they lack. It\u2019s understandable. Making the transition on a webinar from teacher to salesperson can be uncomfortable.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Of course, none of that means you can let yourself off the hook. You CAN close your audience and you absolutely MUST. What do you mean \u201cif\u201d? <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Your offer is amazing. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Your bonuses are awesome. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Only the crazy members of your audience will be turning away. There\u2019s no \u201cif\u201d. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Yes, of course, the sale is optional, but leave that as a dilemma to be sorted out in the minds of your customers. From YOUR perspective, there\u2019s no argument to be made. The offer is amazing and your audience is going to want to pounce on it.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Don\u2019t use words like \u201cif\u201d, \u00a0\u201cmaybe\u201d, or \u201cperhaps\u201d. Simply announce that the order page is open and talk as if your audience has already made the decision to buy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The only options you should be vocalizing are <\/span><b><i>payment options<\/i><\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If necessary, write out your firm, confident CTA in advance, stick it to your laptop, and read it directly.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cThe order page is now\u2026 OPEN! Go ahead, right now, click on the link, and lock in your purchase price while it\u2019s still available.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><b>Buy a Domain Name<\/b><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/genesisdigital.krtra.com\/t\/5jfJ9K7tZdZa\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">WebinarJam<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> lets you put both a clickable <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">BUY<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> button and a link to your order page directly on the webinar feed, but you should still read it out for the benefit of the people who are listening to your event while doing something else in another browser tab.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Webinar hosts often avoid reading out the URL for the order page because it looks something like this:<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">*catgroomingtips.com\/?tid=567-UA00001<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">That\u2019s pretty ugly. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">But it\u2019s easily fixed by spending ten bucks on a new domain name, just for this Offer, and redirecting it to your order page link. Instead of having to read out the above mouthful, you could send people to *GroomMyCatOffer.com<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">(*Used for illustrative purposes only)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Once your offer has finished, redirect your new domain to a different offer or to your lead capture page. That way, people viewing your webinar replay will still see an engaging page if they follow the link.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Use an \u201cAdd to Cart\u201d Button<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As I briefly mentioned, in addition to adding a direct link to your order page, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/genesisdigital.krtra.com\/t\/5jfJ9K7tZdZa\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">WebinarJam<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> allows you to display an order button image. Start the timer at the beginning of your Q&amp;A session and leave it on screen as a constant reminder to your audience of how long they have left before the offer is withdrawn.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The scarcity counter is also a fantastic tool and, while it takes a little effort to setup (unless you use the manual option), it\u2019s totally worth the impact it can have on your conversion rate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Your CTA can be virtually passive, but as soon as that scarcity counter starts to tick down and your audience realizes that only a small number of people in attendance are going to benefit from your offer, a buying frenzy will begin.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Repeat, Repeat, Repeat\u2026<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you just can\u2019t bring yourself to be aggressive with your CTA (that\u2019s fine), but there\u2019s nothing to stop you from <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">repeating<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> your CTA\u2026<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Over and over!<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Repetition creates an urgency of its own, even when it\u2019s in the form of a polite urging to push the \u201cAdd to Cart\u201d button while it\u2019s still there for the pushing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Every time you finish answering a question during the Q&amp;A session, update your audience on the numbers on the countdown timer and\/or the scarcity counter, then repeat your CTA.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Keep going until either the countdown timer ends, you sell out, or your audience disperses.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">************************************************************************<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A strong close used to be measured by the aggression of the CTA and the level of hysteria with which customers whipped out their credit card.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>But your webinar doesn\u2019t have to be like that<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Couple a strong Offer with a confident CTA and some smart scarcity techniques, and it\u2019s absolutely possible to avoid a hard, pushy sell, while still selling out in record time.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Don\u2019t fear \u201cthe close\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A little practice and you\u2019ll do better than \u201cjust fine\u201d.
